SGML Showcase at NQC 2006 Update - Thursday, February, 23rd, 2006
(Mt. Pleasant, SC) - A few openings are still available for artists who may
be interested in performing in the Southern Gospel Music Lovers Showcase to
be held at the 2006 National Quartet Convention. The SGML Showcase is scheduled
for Wednesday, September 13, in the Queen Room at the Executive West Hotel
in Louisville, Kentucky. Approximately 12 southern gospel artists will
be performing from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Several
artists from the SGML community are already scheduled to perform and include:
Holy City Quartet, Mercy Road, Yielded, Boundless Grace and many others.
Through cooperation with The Brannin Agency, the afternoon session will feature a Songwriters' Jam Session to include Gerald Crabb, Dottie Rambo, and Zane King.
Mike Bolen, of the host group Holy City, states, "We are excited about hosting this showcase and want it to be a fun event where regional artists have an opportunity to share songs and ministry at one of southern gospel's premier events. Of course, the afternoon segment will be the perfect icing on the cake as we share in the stories and songs of some of gospel's best songwriters."
Instructions and an application for participating in the showcase are available at SGML Showcase, or you may contact Mike Bolen at (843) 881-3348.

SGML Showcase at NQC 2006 - Monday, October 31st, 2005
I trust everyone has recovered nicely from the 2005 National Quartet Convention. There were some great groups singing there this year, but there were also other great artists who did not get a chance to sing. It seems that chances of getting to sing at NQC can be slim due to a variety of reasons. We have decided to try and change all that in our own small way.
Holy City will be hosting the SGML Showcase on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in the Queen Room at the Executive West Hotel, the main hotel just outside the gates to Freedom Hall. The SGML Showcase will begin at 10:00 am and will end at 3:00 pm, with a short lunch break at noon. We expect to have at least two nationally known artists sing at the showcase. Tentative arrangements have been made for Tim Surrett to emcee the showcase. We will have approximately 12 artists at the showcase, each singing for ten minutes. To help defray expenses, a nominal fee of $100 will apply.

Southern gospel radio DJ's from across the country are being invited to drop
by the showcase. Here is your chance to be heard during the National Quartet
Convention and to introduce your group to promoters and DJ’s from across
the nation. What could be better than that? If you think you may be interested,
please contact us soon as space is limited.
Singing His Praises,
